2022 Mar 13 : APS 학회 발표 및 방문하고 싶은 연구실 탐색
2022 Mar 30 : Send emails for applying
2022 Apr 02 : Got reply from current visiting scholar institution.
2022 Apr 04 : Asked assistance offer letter.
2022 Apr 05 : Got reply and the asisstance needs some time.
2022 May 04 : Asked him again. Assistant replied as we have enough time for it. but i did not feel so. Prof. asked me for the online interview at the very next day.
2022 May 05 : Online interview thru webex. (9 am EDT)
2022 Jun 07 : Started to find APT with doctor S.
2022 Jun XX : Pushing people for the processing thru emails.
2022 Jun 21 : Got ISS (department of int. student and scholar) email. Fill the form requested for invitation letter (offer letter). Mail title : "ISSConnect: Request for Purdue Invitation Letter"
2022 Jun 21 : Got mail titled as :E-Form Receipt: MyISS Department Plans for International Visitor"
2022 Jul 04 : There was no update afterward so I reached out to the coordinator again.
2022 Jul 06 : Coordinator said to wait more.
2022 Jul 24 : Prof. asked me if I have “any current or past military affiliation”.
2022 Aug 03 : I got the offer letter mail titled as "Purdue University Visiting Scholar Invitation". The document is actually not attached, so I got the letter one day after this date.
2022 Aug 03 : Got mail titled as "ISSConnect: Purdue International Scholar Request" ... Many infos is required to fill this form.
2022 Aug 04 : Asked prof. if I could change the visitng period thru mail. The original start date was 1st of Sep which was written in the invitation letter.
2022 Aug 08 : Got E-form receipt
2022 Aug XX : So many wait list mail for APT. Getting APT is so competitive when one uses homepages.
2022 Aug 22 : Asked the coordinator to change the dates for visiting. (Ignored)
2022 Aug 24: The coordinator told me the E form is not completed. ( I did!!!! what is happening?) I submitted agian and she checked it.
2022 Sep 02 : Prof. replied to my mail and said ok to change the visiting date.
2022 Sep 08 : The coordinator started to change the starting date and ask me about it. Changed the start date into middle of October.
2022 Sep 13 : Got revised invitation letter and replied the signed version.
2022 Sep 15 : Got E-form receipt mail saying that prof and department head have submitted required documents.

2022 Sep 22 : [7 AM] Got mail titled as "eShipGlobal Express Mail Instructions for Purdue DS2019". Fill the form to ship DS-2019 to Korea.
2022 Sep 22 : [12 PM] Got eship global receipt mail.
2022 Sep 22 : [3 PM] Paid for I-901 application. (SEVIS fee)
2022 Sep 22 : [22PM] Got mail titled as "Confirmation - DS-2019(s) was shipped"
2022 Sep 26 : Applied for the visa application Korean US embassy. [The interview is waivered]
2022 Sep 27 : [11 AM] DS-2019 arrived at Daejeon. Signed on DS-2019 document.
2022 Sep 28 : [11 AM] Sent application paper, passport, photo, and DS-2019 thru 일양택배.
2022 Sep 30 : [5 PM] Visa application status turned into "Approved".
2022 Oct 05 : [5 PM] Visa-attatched passport and DS-2019 are arrived to Daejeon.
2022 Oct 07 : [7 AM] Departure
퍼듀 쪽에서 서류 만드는데 시간을 너무 많이 써서 4개월 이상 걸렸다. 오래 걸려서 중간에 비지팅 기간을 바꾸느라 더 걸렸다. ... 3월에 학회 다녀온 것 덕분에 비자 면접을 면제받을 수 있었던게 시간을 벌어줬다. 한국 행정 만만세! 타임라인 상 DS 서류가 배송되기 시작할 때쯤 진행하는 미국 대사관 홈페이지에서 하는 여러가지 신청은 적혀있는대로만 하면 돼서 쉽다. 관련해서는 https://oycle.tistory.com/214 블로그를 많이 참고했다. 아주 자세하게 알려주셔서 도움이 많이 되었다. 공식적인 progress 는 학교 홈페이지에도 있는데 타임라인이 없기도 하고 현실적으로 이런 타임라인으로 진행된다는 것을 문서화 해보았다.
